The Programme

A complete
basketball season.

The programme brings together basketball coaching, team development, athletic performance, film study, competition and player evaluation across the full season.

Athletes are coached as basketball players first. Physical preparation, film and evaluation support the work being done on the court rather than operating as separate services.

On-Court Development01

Development at
the highest level.

On-court training focuses on the technical and decision-making skills required to become a more complete basketball player. Coaches work with athletes on shooting, ball handling, finishing, footwork and positional development while consistently placing those skills into live basketball situations.

The objective is not simply to complete drills. Athletes must learn when and why to use skills against defenders, within spacing and inside team concepts.

Live play
Team Basketball02
Team practice

Learning to play
within a team

Individual development only becomes useful when a player can contribute within five-on-five basketball. Academy practices teach offensive spacing, movement, transition play, defensive principles, rotations and communication.

Players learn how to make decisions within a system and how their individual role affects the four teammates around them.

Athletic Performance03

Preparation for
the next level.

Athletic performance training supports the physical demands of basketball. Programming addresses strength, movement quality, speed, conditioning and recovery while accounting for each athlete’s age and basketball workload.

Training volume is managed across practices and games so that performance work supports development rather than competing with it.

Competition04

Development has to be
tested in games.

Training establishes habits. Competition shows whether those habits hold up under pressure, which is why competitive opportunities are built into the programme rather than added to it.

Academy teams

Players train and compete within organised Academy teams based on age and competitive level. Squad placement follows assessment and may change as athletes develop through the season.

Scheduled games

Games are scheduled across the competitive season so players receive consistent minutes against external opposition, executing skills and team responsibilities against opponents actively trying to stop them.

Showcases

Selected showcase environments are used when they provide appropriate competition or evaluation. Participation depends on age, level and readiness rather than being treated as automatic exposure.

Tournaments and travel

Selected tournament and travel opportunities allow Academy teams to compete against different opponents. Travel is planned around the school calendar and communicated to families in advance.

Film and Evaluation05

Learning
through film

Film allows athletes to see decisions that are difficult to recognise while the game is happening. Coaches use practice and game footage to review positioning, reads, execution and decision-making with players.

Evaluation takes place across the season rather than through one isolated tryout. Feedback explains where the athlete currently stands, where improvement is occurring and what additional development would be required to compete at a higher level.

Age groups, training schedules, fees, the competition calendar and final programme details will be confirmed before enrolment.
